A warm fall day filled with laughter and happiness from the beginning to the end, marked Alessandra and Tom’s wedding. One thing is for sure, these two have some of the best family and friends anybody could ask for! Alessandra and Tom’s wedding took place on the campus of Occidental College in Eagle Rock California. One of Occidental College’s most notable attendees include former US President Barack Obama. The campus is filled with awesome spots for photographer’s to take advantage of and that’s exactly what we did. Here are a few of the highlights from the day.
We were surrounded by an incredible bunch of people for Katlin and Jack’s wedding. One thing is for sure, Katlin and Jack have some of the best family and friends anybody could ask for! I already knew that Katlin’s family was going to be awesome because I’ve photographed Katlin’s older sibling’s weddings in the past. We started at the Hyatt Regency in Huntington Beach where we photographed all the little preparation details. The hotel was a perfect place to do all the bridal party photos as well as the first look. We knocked those out and then headed to the beautiful Sea Cliff Country Club in Huntington Beach for the ceremony. Sea Cliff Country Club is less than a mile from the Pacific Ocean, not far from the historic Huntington Beach Pier. Sea Cliff Country Club is an absolutely beautiful location that provided an awesome backdrop for the wedding. Thanks to the wonderful staff there at Sea Cliff for making this an incredible experience. Katlin and Jack, we are so happy we got to share your special day with you and wish you many years of happiness!
Matthew and Vanessa tied the knot on a hazy lazy Southern California day. We started the day at The Christ Cathedral campus. A world-famous landmark for people of many faiths, the former Crystal Cathedral was synonymous with Rev. Robert Schuller and his “Hour of Power” television. Then it was off to the Vintage Rose for the reception. The Vintage Rose is truly a diamond in the rough with it’s unique ambience. We got some great shots of the newlyweds on the beautiful classic furniture that adorned the room. Congratulations on your new lives together as husband and wife! Thanks for inviting us along for the ride.
On a day that started with rain but then progressed to a classic California overcast Saturday, Kate and Michael braved the elements and tied the knot. Situated in the shadows of the Santa Susana mountains Wood Ranch Golf Club was the perfect choice for them to do their nuptials. The staff made sure everyone would remain dry by moving the ceremony indoors. After Kate and Michael exchanged their vows we did some fun umbrella wedding party photos around the grounds of the golf course. We are so happy we got to share your special day with you and wish you many years of happiness!
Marie and Nathan were married at one of the most romantic, historic venues nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel mountains. Padua Hills theatre in Claremont, California is one of the most beautiful locations in Southern California. Surrounded by family and friends the ceremony was original and very personal. We wrapped up the reception at an outstanding Italian restaurant where the wine was flowing and everyone enjoyed the flavors of Italy. Buon appetite!
Kristine and Christopher were married at the historic and very cool Motte Museum in Menifee one of the most unique locations in California. Barn weddings have never been more popular and the Motte Museum is full of the rustic country charm that brides love. Surrounded by their family and friends the ceremony was touching and very personal. Kristine and Christopher and their guests then enjoyed the reception seated under the barn roof filled with beautiful classic cars from every decade.
Gregg and Stephanie tied the knot on a very hot Southern California day! We started the day at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Chino Hills, with it’s gorgeous ‘A’ frame architecture, where Gregg and Stephanie said their vows and walked out as husband and wife. Then it was off to a very unique venue for their reception at the Cal Aero Events in Chino. It’s an airplane hangar that’s been converted into a large event space. The place was absolutely beautiful! The old planes set up in and around the venue were an amazing touch to the Hangar. The high point of the afternoon is when the newlyweds made their grand entrance in one of the vintage aircrafts from days gone by. The plane taxied down up the runway and delivered them directly in front of their cheering guest. Now that’s a grand entrance! Later on that evening their family surprised them with a giant choreographed flash mob that got everyone up and dancing. Congratulations on your new lives together as husband and wife! Thanks for allowing us to share your day.
Carissa and Tyler were married in one of the most beautiful and natural surroundings in the Southern California area. The 1909 Topanga Canyon is an out of the way hidden gem. The natural amphitheater allows couples to have their ceremony beneath an ancient oak tree. I can’t even begin to describe the incredible people that we were surrounded by on the day of the wedding. Carissa and Tyler are originally from the Mid-West and they had family and friends that made the trek out from Missouri for the big day. The onsite building is gorgeous, with Irish knot inlaid on the stone and wood, high ceilings and a built-in bar that made for a perfect hangout for their guests later on at the reception. One thing is for sure, Carissa and Tyler have some of the best family and friends anybody could ask for! Carissa and Tyler, we are so happy we got to share your special day with you and wish you many years of happiness!
I can’t even begin to describe the incredible people that I was surrounded by at Frances and John’s wedding. One thing is for sure, Frances and John have some of the best family and friends anybody could ask for! Their wedding was a very small and intimate affair but like the old saying goes good things come in small packages. Frances and John were married at the historic and beautiful Riverside Art Museum in Riverside, California one of the coolest locations in California. I believe that any wedding photographer would have loved this location. I love the artsy feel of the romantic images as well as those by the unique outdoor exhibits. It was a great day overall and I wish them the best!
The La Venta Inn in Rancho Palos Verdes is well known among Southern California wedding photographers as a premier wedding and event venue. Something that a lot of people don’t know is the La Venta has outstanding food. I’m sure most never expect to have a great meal at a wedding, but Stella and Ben consider themselves to be great foodies, which is one reason why they selected this venue. Another reason for selecting this venue is the breathtaking panoramic views. La Venta overlooks the coastline and city of Los Angeles. I think the variety of scenery around La Venta is simply amazing – charming architecture, beautiful gardens and, of course, the awesome view as a backdrop. We used all of these to our advantage for the ceremony and the formal photos that followed. The reception was held just inside where Stella and Ben surprised their guests with traditional Chinese Lion Dancers who wowed the crowd. Dinner was followed by lots of dancing, toasts by close friends and family, and more dancing. Everybody had a really good time and Stella and Ben gave everyone a late night treat with Kobe beef sliders and homemade milk shakes. Everything was wonderful to the last bite.
