Cindy and Danny said their vows at one of the most coolest places in Southern California, the Hotel Figueroa. It has been a fixture of downtown Los Angeles for close to a century. The Hotel Figueroa was built in 1925 as a hotel for “business, traveling and professional women and their husbands and children,” by the YWCA. After years of decay, the hotel underwent a long-time renovation that features a Moroccan theme with Mexican tiles, Iraqi rugs, Indian textiles, exotic lamps and the occasional Asian erotic carving. The Moroccan theme bedroom suite made for a beautiful backdrop for the morning prep photos. The ceremony took place in the Rabat room, which is decked out with draped fabric and jewel-toned, stained glass ceilings. After the ceremony, the guests were escorted outside for the cocktail hour. It was held in the Bougainvillea-filled courtyard, called Rick’s Place. A Moroccan style dinner was served back inside. After a few nighttime rooftop shots, we ended up downstairs in the Tangiers room where the DJ kicked the party into overdrive.
