What better place to have an engagement session then the happiest place on earth. Jessica and Jason have bonded over their love for all-things Disney and even dressed up with Mickey ears and shoes for this awesome shoot. We hit several of the cool spots in Disneyland and finished off the day in California Adventure. Thank you again to Jessica and Jason for this incredible engagement session. I’m so excited to celebrate your wedding coming soon!
Wilson Creek Winery has long been one of the premier wineries in the Temecula Valley and a awesome destination from brides and grooms when searching for that perfect place to have their ceremony. What an absolutely perfect wedding day it was. We started the day out early at the Wilson Creek Manor. It’s a nine-room elegant Tuscan style villa, just across the street from the winery. After a few getting ready photos at the manor when then moved across the street to the winery for the first look. The ceremony took place in a beautiful grove there on the property. After the ceremony we spent almost an hour at shooting family and formals and I couldn’t have asked for better afternoon light. Dinner was followed by lots of dancing, toasts by close friends, family and more dancing. At the end of the night, everyone lined up for a final sparkles salute, as Jessica and Brian wrapped up a wonderful wedding day.
What an absolutely perfect wedding day it was at the classic and cool University Club in Pasadena. We started the day out at the University Club early for getting ready shots and some pre-ceremony images in and around the club. We then moved on to Pasadena City Hall for the bride and groom’s first look. Kate and Ari were such an awesome couple to work with and they hit every mark when it came to the photos. The ceremony and reception were back at the University Club. The reception started with the introductions, followed by the first dance and then gradually transformed into a full blown party. Overall, the entire day was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed being there! Below are few of our favorite shots from Kate and Ari’s big day. Enjoy!
Nicole and Robert are huge film buffs, so it would make sense if they decided that their big day should be centered around what they have a true affinity for and that’s classic movies. After searching around it was plain to see that no venue could pull off Nicole and Robert’s true love for film better than the Fox Event Center in Redlands, California. The Fox was built in 1927. Celebrities from Hollywood and people from miles around would come to see Vaudeville shows as well as some of the great silent movies of the time. Nicole and Robert’s ceremony as well as the reception was held at The Fox. The reception started with the introductions, followed by the first dance and then gradually transformed into a full blown party. Overall, the entire day was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed being there! I have to say that I had so much fun doing this wedding and hope to see these guys very soon.
A couple months ago I photographed Brianna and Dustin’s in the beautiful wine country of Temecula and today I would like to share with you few of my favorite pictures from their shoot. Temecula is an incredible place for wedding and engagement photography – old town charm architecture sprinkled with dozens of the finest wineries and surrounded by a lush wilderness. They’re having their wedding later this year in Cabo San Lucas so you should see a wonderful contrast in images.
Doing a backyard wedding opens up endless possibilities. Not only will you forego the hefty cost of booking a venue during peak wedding season, but you’ll be able to welcome your guests into an intimate space that is uniquely you. Akemi and Darren added tons of unique touches to create a one-of-a-kind venue. This was a bit quieter day, more laid back and took place back at Akemi’s parent’s home in San Dimas. After a very unique ceremony that had loads of personal touches, the guest then made their way to a beautiful catered backyard barbecue dinner. Akemi and Darren and their guests then enjoyed the reception seated under the large trees while dancing into the night. Coordination was handled beautifully by Rebecca Calagna Events and the flowers were spectacular and prepared by Jenny B Floral design.
Since the grand opening of the Walt Disney concert hall back in 2003 it has been a mainstay for photographer’s of all kind. The stainless steel exterior forms, which were in fact inspired by world renowned designer Frank Gehry’s love of sailing, have now become iconic. Located in downtown Los Angeles the building has become an awesome backdrop for wedding and engagement photos. I have been excited to post this session because of the color and richness of the setting, as well as to show off Genesis and Shibli’s beautiful portraits. It was a little tricky photographing the Shiny, polished-metal buildings because they’re highly reflective and can generate a substantial amount of heat. Our bride and groom were real troopers and hung in there for what turned out to be an awesome shoot. Congratulations on your new lives together as husband and wife! Thanks for having us be there.
One of the most unique places in Southern California is the tower at Victoria Beach. Who says that you can’t find any castles in California. This spot captivates visitors and have them wondering why it’s even there. The structure was built in 1926, at the same time as the Norman House on the cliff above, the 60-foot-tall concrete tower with a stone foundation has been a Laguna Beach icon for many years. It’s no wonder why so many Southern California photographers flock to this beautiful spot. Monique and Austin are huge beach fans so this location for their engagement session was just what the doctor ordered for them.
We were surrounded by an incredible bunch of people for Katlin and Jack’s wedding. One thing is for sure, Katlin and Jack have some of the best family and friends anybody could ask for! I already knew that Katlin’s family was going to be awesome because I’ve photographed Katlin’s older sibling’s weddings in the past. We started at the Hyatt Regency in Huntington Beach where we photographed all the little preparation details. The hotel was a perfect place to do all the bridal party photos as well as the first look. We knocked those out and then headed to the beautiful Sea Cliff Country Club in Huntington Beach for the ceremony. Sea Cliff Country Club is less than a mile from the Pacific Ocean, not far from the historic Huntington Beach Pier. Sea Cliff Country Club is an absolutely beautiful location that provided an awesome backdrop for the wedding. Thanks to the wonderful staff there at Sea Cliff for making this an incredible experience. Katlin and Jack, we are so happy we got to share your special day with you and wish you many years of happiness!
Matthew and Vanessa tied the knot on a hazy lazy Southern California day. We started the day at The Christ Cathedral campus. A world-famous landmark for people of many faiths, the former Crystal Cathedral was synonymous with Rev. Robert Schuller and his “Hour of Power” television. Then it was off to the Vintage Rose for the reception. The Vintage Rose is truly a diamond in the rough with it’s unique ambience. We got some great shots of the newlyweds on the beautiful classic furniture that adorned the room. Congratulations on your new lives together as husband and wife! Thanks for inviting us along for the ride.
